Malaysia gold prices on 14 October 2026 show a one-ounce Kijang Emas coin offered at RM18,019, down RM39 from Tuesday's published selling quote. Maybank's Gold Investment Account is listed at RM557.43 per gram as buyers await tonight's US inflation report.
The prices cover different products. A bullion coin has a weight-specific counter quote; an account has a per-gram rate. Jewellery purchases can include additional charges, so neither number establishes a nationwide shop price.
Malaysia Gold Prices: Today's Bank Quotes

- Kijang Emas, one ounce: selling RM18,019; buying RM17,312.

Kijang Emas Falls RM39 From Tuesday
Bank Negara Malaysia's historical table lists the one-ounce coin at RM18,058 selling and RM17,336 buying on 13 October. Comparing those with today's Maybank readings gives a RM39 selling-price decline and a RM24 buyback decline.
The comparison is between dated publications from BNM and Maybank. It does not establish the movement of every gold product sold in Malaysia, or an intraday low.
The coin also sits RM151 below Monday's RM18,170 selling quote, a decline of about 0.83% calculated from the published figures. BullBuzz's 12 October gold update recorded that earlier increase. Wednesday's counter reading reverses part of it.
The Buyback Gap Still Matters
The conventional account's two rates are RM21.44/g apart; the one-ounce coin's gap is RM707. Those are arithmetic differences between the displayed selling and buying figures, before other applicable costs.
A lower purchase price does not eliminate the resale gap. A buyer comparing providers needs the buyback terms for the same product and quantity, alongside any collection, fabrication or other charges.
BullBuzz's earlier Public Gold comparison explains why account rates and physical-bar quotations should be kept separate. Its Sunday figures are historical context, not today's dealer offers.
Global Gold Holds Near US$4,159 Ahead of CPI
Reuters reported spot gold at US$4,159.45 per troy ounce at 02:51 GMT, or 10:51 AM Malaysia time, on Wednesday. December US gold futures stood at US$4,182.60, up 0.1%. Spot and futures are separate instruments.
The report described gold as little changed ahead of US consumer-price data. It also said oil rose after an attack on a Saudi Aramco administrative building in Dhahran, keeping energy and interest-rate risks in view.
Gold's response to conflict can compete with its sensitivity to rates. Higher borrowing costs can reduce the appeal of a metal that pays no interest; a weaker inflation reading can change expectations in the other direction. Neither outcome is established before the release.
What Malaysian Buyers Should Watch Tonight
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics calendar schedules September CPI for 14 October at 8:30 AM Eastern time, equivalent to 8:30 PM in Malaysia. September producer-price data follows on 15 October.
Watch the published inflation figures, then the dollar and fresh gold quotes. A dollar-denominated spot move alone does not specify the next ringgit counter price; currency conversion and product terms still need checking.

For the next comparison, record the product, both transaction prices and the provider's effective time. Tonight's CPI result will be a new event; the morning bank rates remain a dated benchmark.
